I wish to build my portfolio in different branches of photography. So last spring semester, I was excited to learn Studio Lighting for Product Photography from Mr. Maxwell Crumley at West Valley College. Below were my submissions for some of our assignments.
My nieces visited from the Philippines last month. I took the rare opportunity to photograph them and play with my camera. Ahhh... it was nice to be clicking the shutter again, and photographing my favorite people. 
It has been over a year since I last posted an entry --- and for a good reason. I was preparing for MY OWN wedding. I held off on everything photography-related during the 10-month period that I did nothing but plan for the big event.
Being the aspiring photographer that I am, I did not request our professional photographer to shoot our wedding details. Thinking that I have more time to do them myself, and that this will allow us more time to shoot people rather than things during the day itself.
So here are some of my favorite shots of my favorite items during the biggest day of my life.
I always have fun photographing my goddaughter, Elle. This weekend's photoshoot was no exception. We visited Hakone Garden in Saratoga, hoping to capture some fall colors. Although we didn't see a lot of oranges and yellows, it was still great spending time with my goddaughter, and her mom, my good friend Rho.
I recently attended a Studio Lighting Workshop organized by the Bay Area Photography Group. We had several models come for the photo shoot. Here is one of my favorites..
They love each other so much that they married each other twice --- this time, to renew their vows at the altar. The bride, Cecile, is S.O.'s older sister. I thank her and Jonathan for allowing me to capture this significant event in their lives.
Spent the weekend with S.O.'s family in San Diego. As expected, I took advantage of the opportunity to shoot one of my favorite models, JR Twomey, John's nephew.
My boss's wife, owner of Eyelite Optometry located in downtown Los Altos, has requested me to shoot some photos for their new website. This was a great opportunity for me to venture in a different type of photography -- my first attempt at product photography. Here are some of my favorites...
We spent all day Sunday with my goddaughter, Elle, and her mom, our good friend, Rho. We were surprised at how big Elle has grown, and how well she works the camera, showing her different faces, at age three. Yes, three! (Oh and by the way, she had a 100-degree fever on this day.)
